Get Paid to Blog – How Much are we Talking Here?
Getting out of the 9-5 rat race is not a simple task, but I am going to show you how to get paid to blog, which (to me) is one of the best ways to kick your good old 9-5 to the curb. Let’s just say that blogging has given me more than financial freedom although there is a lot of money to be made as a blogger.
Let’s face it, you’re not getting anywhere in life and you’re definitely not getting any younger. What are your plans?
- Retire at your penny paying J-O-B
- Find a better 9-5
- Save up for retirement
- Get a raise
- Get promoted
and the list goes on…
It All Starts With You
Let’s break that mentality. I was once in the 9-5 world as well as a service member in the US Army (10 years) before quitting. If you’re like any normal person, you’re probably wondering why in the world I would do such a thing.
“You’re halfway there John, you’re crazy!” is what you’re probably thinking. That’s what you think. Blogging (believe it or not) is what has gotten me off the treadmill and has allowed me to quit all my penny paying jobs that I’ve held and it has ended my search for something better.
I had a family that I wanted to support and most especially wanted to spend more time with. Do you really think I could spend the time I wanted with my kids if I was still in the service? I can promise you that it’s not worth it but I am still glad I was able to serve my country.
What Blogging can do for you
Blogging is something I actually never thought of doing, until I saw the type of money that was involved. I saw how much money people were making online, which is why I knew that blogging was the way for me to get out of the “It pays the Bills” mentality.
Do you know what this whole seeing the money has done for me as a blogger? Absolutely nothing! I was too busy worrying about the money that I forgot who I was blogging for. When I decided to get back to the training at Wealthy Affiliate, I figured out that the money doesn’t come overnight. Stupid me.
Work Hard Now, Play Harder Later
Once I decided to listen to what the experts were saying, that’s when I started to see results. I wasn’t making money yet, but there were people on my site and I was actually engaging with them.
Even if I wasn’t making a penny, I knew what had to be done and there was no way on earth that I was going to stop until I made something. You know what’s as good as making money? Getting ranked on the #1 spot of Google! Alright, it definitely doesn’t beat the time I made my first sale.
That #1 Feeling
Although I wasn’t making any money, I knew it was only a matter of time before I saw the “you’ve got commissions” email. With all the work that I put into this blog, I was more than satisfied with my #1 spot on the search engine.
I mean, can you imagine writing something and having it on that #1 spot? You’re probably like, “what’s the big deal?” Well guys, when you get ranked for specific keywords, that puts you in position to make the money, so that’s definitely a big deal.
Being in that spot means you will constantly get traffic to your site, which puts you in position to make more money. Imagine having just 5 articles in that spot? The amount of money that can be made online is ridiculous!
Patience is a Virtue
I know that sounds a bit cliche, but it definitely applies to blogging. If anyone has told you that they made money on that same day they started their blog then they’re most likely lying. Unless you do some PPC (pay per click) or tell someone about your blog, then it is not going to happen overnight.
This type of business takes some time, but it is very rewarding. Like that saying goes, “When it rains, it pours”. That is definitely something you can expect as a blogger.
Get started now and let’s see what you can make 3 months from now, because if you are patient enough, you can make a lot of money just from blogging.
I always recommend the Wealthy Affiliate to anyone who is trying to get a blog started. You can learn EVERYTHING about blogging there and I can promise you that it absolutely works!
I hope you do decide to start your own blog, because opportunities like this don’t come around very often. I hope you’ve learned a thing or two about how you can get your own blog started and I look forward to hearing your success story!
